Safety:
All MDS optical sensor heads, optically coupled with an HP/MD reader unit and installed properly, are considered "simple devices". Simple devices do not have the potential, under normal circumstances, to serve as an ignition source and are suitable for use in all hazardous areas. MDS sensor heads are not designed for use in high-pressure applications such as compressed gas storage vessels or pressurized delivery systems.
* All MDS sensors may be offset via riser from a fluid surface to afford "0" distance minimum measuring. Typical offsets vary according to tank configuration and requirements.
